It´s Spring.

Spring in Iceland typically begins in April, when average temperatures rise and the snows start to melt. Visit Iceland in spring and you’ll experience a season of beauty and change. At this time of year, the winter snows are retreating and color is returning to the landscape. You could glimpse the Northern Lights before the nights get too short. And with the summer visitors yet to arrive, you’ll have more of this paradise to yourself.

And Summer is closer than you think.

Iceland’s summer runs from June to August. Iceland in summer is bright, beautiful, and mild and something magical happens. The sun, rather than setting fully below the horizon, seems to hover just above. During the summer Iceland is one of the rare places that offers endless opportunities for the eager traveler with the unrivaled beauty of the highlands, such as the stunning Þórsmörk area and the Westman Island with the puffins, visit the Golden Circle to see Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Þingvellir National Park, etc. only 90 min away from the hotel.

If you’re a fan of world-class cuisine you should plan a culinary trip to Iceland.

Our chefs, Birgir and Emil, are proud members of this new Icelandic cuisine. Using traditional Icelandic ingredients which they source locally both from land and sea. They strive to use fresh quality products so that your dining experience reflects the great products Iceland has to offer.

Thanks to all our wonderful guests.

Today, we are regarded as one of the best hotels in Iceland. We would like to thank all our wonderful guests for all the positive reviews which no one should take for granted.  You are the promoters of our business. We could not have made this without you.

No trip to Iceland is complete without a soak in one of our hot springs.

We are a hotel with four large geothermal pools. Surrounded by snow and winter, being in a warm outdoor pool or in the sauna room underneath the stars and the northern lights, or during the light summer nights, watching the midnight sun, is reason enough to visit our hotel. Remember you don’t have to book in advance! It´s open to guests from 08 to 23 every day.

We serve a full-course delicious dinner – remember it´s a set menu consisting of three dishes: appetizer, main course, and dessert. Every day between 19.00 and 21.00. At dinner, we offer “the catch of the day”. Diners can be seated looking at a presentation kitchen while they are overlooking a panoramic view of South Iceland. The food is served communal style on one long dining table with seats on both sides.  Remember you don’t have to book in advance!

Our mission statement:

To create personal experiences for our guests that they will treasure for a lifetime.

THE VIEW IS AMAZING

DINING

We can’t say enough positive things about this hotel experience. This is my fourth trip to Iceland and was a first visit for my Mom and daughter. We’ve been fortunate to stay at some lovely places around the country, but this was by far our favourite. It has the usual amenities in spades… terrific WiFi, huge rooms and bathrooms, a nice modern feel with truly gorgeous furniture and modern, original Icelandic art. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both were outstanding. It’s also a great location with easy access to south Iceland and it’s not far from the Golden Circle. Two things really make this hotel special—the view and the people. The view is stunning in all directions! Like wow! And the people were incredibly kind, authentic, and just lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience & hope to have an opportunity to stay again. Would highly recommend!”

An indoor swimming pool within a rustic setting, featuring exposed wooden beams and stone walls. The pool is calm, reflecting the wood-paneled ceiling, and is flanked by a metal railing. Large windows allow natural light to enter, and a wooden sauna box is visible at the far end of the room

„I honestly don’t want to write a review because I want this to be one of the best kept secrets in Iceland. Oli and Anna are wonderful hosts and their staff are lovely, including the most amazing Cooking staff. Our family had such an amazing time at this boutique hotel. The natural spa is simply phenomenal. The accommodations are beautiful -modern, high-quality fixtures and so well appointed rooms. The resident dogs, Mia and Tina, are so cute — my kids loved them! I didn’t want to leave. Quite frankly one of the best experiences we had in Iceland, and that speaks volumes because everything was such a phenomenal experience and adventure! Thank you to your wonderful team!“

The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) illuminate the night sky with a vibrant display of green ribbons above a snowy landscape. The scene is dotted with small lights from a distant settlement, and the stars are visible in the dark sky above.
