TRAVEL TO ICELAND

THE LAND OF

THE MIDNIGHT SUN

What´s new?

Covid news: At the beginning of December COVID-19 infections are decreasing in Iceland, with 127 new infections reported on average each day. However, we recommend checking in with www.covid.is before you book your trip.

Book in time. If you are visiting Iceland during Christmas or New Year’s Eve, we recommend booking hotels or a table at a restaurant as early as possible for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the days between Christmas and New Year´s Eve. Note that only a few restaurants are open during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year´s Eve, and they are usually fully booked!

Northern Lights! If you are looking for the best place to watch the northern lights, come and see them from the veranda outside the hotel rooms or even from the comfort of your warm bed.

Why visit Iceland in December? Iceland is covered in both snow and Christmas decorations making it a beautiful winter wonderland.  New Year is also an incredibly popular time to come to Iceland. Icelanders know how to celebrate big time, with the most stupendous firework show – glittering fire bursts reaching out across the sky.

Stay Small Stay Safe. With just 13 rooms our hotel is able to offer personal service and guidance to secure the safety of our guests.

Our mission statement: To create personal experiences for our guests that they will treasure for a lifetime.

Remember what our guests say about us: „If I could have imagined the perfect hotel in Iceland – this would be it…“

THE VIEW

IS AMAZING

We can’t say enough positive things about this hotel experience. This is my fourth trip to Iceland and was a first visit for my Mom and daughter. We’ve been fortunate to stay at some lovely places around the country, but this was by far our favorite. It has the usual amenities in spades… terrific WiFi, huge rooms and bathrooms, a nice modern feel with truly gorgeous furniture and modern, original Icelandic art. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both were outstanding. It’s also a great location with easy access to south Iceland and it’s not far from the Golden Circle. Two things really make this hotel special—the view and the people. The view is stunning in all directions! Like wow! And the people were incredibly kind, authentic, and just lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience & hope to have an opportunity to stay again. Would highly recommend!
